Well, obviously, I like making wallpapers. (I'm still a novice, though.) I love watching anime, playing video games, reading manga and fantasy/sci-fi novels (or anything just plain weird). I love poetry

Fav. poets & writers: Stephen Spender, T.S. Eliot, Edgar Allen Poe, Anne Rice, Janny Wurtz, etc.

Things I'm obssessed over/addicted to: vampires, yaoi, Japanese street fashion, bishounen, DDR, etc.

I love to draw and hope to become a concept artist in the video game industry in the near future (that being within 10 years ^ ^; ).

The above is, shall we say, an overly cliche way of introducing myself.

After being here a while, I have come to realize just how horrible I am at making wallpapers (or banners for that matter). After this recent banner "contest," I have finally realized what I've been doing wrong:

My walls are either a)too simple and therefore not of high enough quality for this site, or b)too busy and therefore - it seems - too um...tacky? (Even though I do work really hard on them.) And how do I know this?

Because my banner submissions didn't make it into the rotation. Upon examing all of the other banners that were accepted, I came upon the aformentioned "epiphany." All of the "accepted" were well done but didn't make ones eyes explode. Perhaps I try too hard. - -;

I apologize if I sound bitter, but I've known nothing but pretty much outright failure since I've been here.

So...

On a more optimistic note! ^ ^ There's no way I'm giving up! Now, that I've finally found the problem, I can fix it!
